Help them find as many ‘minibeasts’ on their list as possible. Your list could include slaters, earthworms, lizards, bees, caterpillars, ants, beetles, butterflies, ladybirds, snails, grasshoppers and birds.
Take a magnifying glass and let them carefully examine some of the minibeasts in detail. Encourage them to choose their favourite minibeast from their excursion and then research a few details (they’ll be learning and won’t even realise it!).
Encouraging healthy habits and physical activity, we're giving away $10,000 worth of garden grants to Australian schools and community groups.
