Healthy Harold joined hundreds of primary students at the 2015 Rural Discovery Day to celebrate and experience first-hand the best that Queensland's primary industries have to offer at the RNA Showgrounds on Thursday, 21 May.
The Royal National Agricultural and Industrial Association of Queensland (RNA) hosted the educational event as a precursor to the annual Royal Queensland Show (Ekka).
Our valued partner, The Brisbane Produce Market, has been an exhibitor at this event for nearly a decade. The Brisbane Produce Market’s educational presentations help students learn more about where fruit and vegetables come from, their nutritional goodness and provide an opportunity to touch and smell different fruit and vegetables.
Healthy Harold was invited to assist at the Brisbane Produce Market presentations and meet the students. Life Education Queensland’s Claire Trethewey was also on hand to answer any questions from the children. Healthy Harold delighted the kids with wristband giveaways and competed with them in mandarin peeling competitions.
