New Charity Partnership with Wallmans Lawyers

Building new relationships

Life Education SA is thrilled to announce its partnership with Wallmans Lawyers.

Life Education partners with pre, primary and secondary schools to instil in children the confidence and knowledge to make safer, healthier choices now and in the future.

In 2015/16 the program was delivered to more than 16,000 students in 70 schools across South Australia. The program receives no State Government funding.

“The financial and in-kind support of Wallmans Lawyers means Life Education in South Australia will reach many more children with its vital programs,” said Life Education SA Chairperson Robbi Tims.

“Wallmans will also provide staff with paid leave to volunteer for Life Education, allowing us to have a substantial resource base for our events and fundraising efforts.

“Additionally, support in providing us with pro bono legal advice and services will ensure that we can focus our time on providing more schools and students with access to the program.”

Trevor Edmond, Managing Partner at Wallmans Lawyers, said Life Education was an opportunity every child deserves.

The statistics are scary,” said Mr Edmond. “Thirty percent of young people aged 15-24 years are now overweight or obese, Australia has one of the highest rates of illicit methamphetamine usage in the world and a quarter of our school students are affected by bullying, including cyberbullying, leading to an increase in suicidal thoughts.

“The work of Life Education is vital in turning this around and ensuring our young people live the best lives they possibly can.
“Wallmans Lawyers is proud to support Life Education’s life-changing work.”

The Wallmans Lawyers Official Charity program was launched in 2014 to provide funds and support to a not-for-profit body to assist in bettering the lives of those in the South Australian community.
