New addition to Healthy Harold’s Mobile Classroom

By Claire Absolum

Last week the team at Life Education NSW paid a visit to Our Lady of Fatima School in Kingsgrove to show off their new, ultra slick wheelchair lift which is the latest addition to their mobile classroom.

Until now Healthy Harold, the iconic giraffe who teaches kids about healthy, drug free living has been off limits to many NSW school students who use wheelchairs but thanks to a $30,000 grant from Northcott’s FundAbility program, three mobile learning centres have been fitted with wheelchair lifts to make them accessible to all students.

Northcott’s FundAbility grant program offers micro grants to anyone who has a good idea about how to include young children and teenagers, aged 9-15 years old, who have disability in their community.
