Waterford MP Shannon Fentiman recently attended Waterford State School to celebrate Life Education, and our iconic mascot Healthy Harold, delivering vital health education to a record number of students in the Logan area. Life Education Queensland CEO Michael Fawsitt presented Ms Fentiman with a plaque of appreciation to acknowledge the support of the Queensland Government. The plaque features drawings from children who have participated in the Life Education program.
“Life Education aims to see a generation of healthy young Australians living to their full potential,” said Mr Fawsitt. “We are very grateful to have the support of Waterford MP Shannon Fentiman and many members of parliament across the state.
“Our partnership with Queensland Health has enabled Life Education to reach more schools in the Logan area. In the past 12 months, we have delivered our health education program to more than 11,000 students across Logan City’s state, Catholic and independent schools, and early learning centres. We are into the third year of our agreement with the State Government which is enabling Life Education to expand across the State and deliver our program to even more students than ever before.
“The injection of funds through Queensland Health, along with some new fundraising initiatives, is helping to make sure that our service is around for many more years to come. The State Government’s support is an important investment in the future health and wellbeing of our kids.
