Welcoming back a member of the family is always a joyous time. While we are facing unprecedented challenges due to the outbreak and spread of the COVID-19 virus, the appointment of our new Chief Executive Officer is no exception.
After four years leading the Life Education team in NSW, Kellie took a break last year, and is now returning as National CEO to champion and transform our work across all States of Australia.
It was through her earlier career in media - hosting some of the country's most recognisable news and entertainment programs, that Kellie first became involved with Life Education – first as an Ambassador, and then as a board director and CEO of the NSW office.
A mum of three children and passionate about children’s health and well-being, Kellie has proved to be an effective and high profile advocate for young people across the country.
Kellie replaces Verity Hawkins who has been instrumental in the development of a new project with the Commonwealth Department of Education that will enable us to better understand the needs of students and support them in years to come.
Life Education Australia Chair, Sue O'Malley shared her optimism amid the current challenges.
"Challenges make us stronger and lay the seeds for great opportunities. I look forward to seeing the impact Kellie has on the work of Life Education and the next generation of Australian communities."
