Healthy Harold hangs out with the head of the state

Harold was in da House this month! Our favourite giraffe, along with his Life Education NSW friends, had a great day at the Governor-General’s Sports Fun Day at Government House, Canberra.

Held on December 2, more than 1,200 students from primary schools in Canberra and the surrounding region took part in health, science and sporting activities.

The aim of the day was for children from all backgrounds and abilities to be included, to have fun, get involved and ‘have a go’.

Hosted by their Excellencies General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove, the annual event is a fun and memorable day.

Life Education NSW CEO, Kellie Sloane said, “The event is a fantastic way for children to take part in activities promoting health and wellbeing. Harold and Life Education NSW thoroughly enjoyed the day, and were proud to be a part of such a wonderful initiative.”

Harold also attended last year’s Sports Day, which saw over 1,000 students from 55 schools and the involvement of 15 different sporting and health organisations.
