Golfers tee off for Life Education

More than 100 Northern Beaches business community leaders gathered on the golf course to hit a fundraising hole-in-one for childhood health education this month.

A sensational day was had by everyone who attended the second Northern Beaches Golf Classic held at Long Reef Golf Club.

Golfers enjoyed sublime weather conditions on the immaculate course. Fun competitions included a hole-in-one car on the 13th thanks to Bill Buckle Auto Group who were safely able to drive their car back to the showroom.

Players and sponsors enjoyed a delicious presentation dinner at the club complete with auction and speeches.

The event raised more than $50,000 which will go towards Life Education’s vital health and drug education program for children in the Northern Beaches.

The initiative was organised by the volunteer Life Action Group chaired by Bill Buckle.

Special thanks to Committee member, Jane Jory, whose outstanding efforts ensured a successful day also thanks to our Major Sponsors Col Crawford Motors and hole sponsors: Cunningham’s, Bill Buckle Auto Group, Doyle Spillane, Raine & Horne Dee Why/Collaroy, Providence, Rotary Club of Brookvale, Stuart Alexander and Pharmacare, plus the many other supporters who provided prizes, auction items and items for the raffle.
