Daniel George Gala Dinner

Saturday February 27th 2016 marked the first Daniel George Gala, held at Woodlands Golf Club in Mordialloc with 239 tickets sold; it also marks what would have been my brothers 36th birthday.

I lost my big brother on 15th November 2014 after he made a silly decision and tried for the first time a synthetic drug called ‘kronic’. Two puffs of this drug was all it took to take his life and leave myself and my family devastated. He had a beautiful little girl Lucy who will now not know her Daddy.

I made a promise to my brother that I would do everything in my power to ensure his life being taken would not be for nothing. That I would do my best to ensure I create awareness about these deadly drugs and raise much needed funds to help educate the children of Australia to make the right choices.

I chose to partner with Life Education Victoria for this phenomenal event. They have helped me keep my promise to my brother. We had fantastic, supportive and generous guests attend and help us raise more than $30k and create a buzz of awareness that will hopefully be talked about until the next Daniel George Gala.

Thank you Life Education Victoria for your support and help to make the night a great success and to help me keep my promise to my brother. Thank you for the brilliant work you do through the schools in Australia to help our children. I would love everyone to save the date for Saturday 25th February 2017 for the next Daniel George Gala.
