2016 - Exciting projects on their way at Life Education!

2016 will be a year of many exciting developments at Life Education, some of which are already underway.

Funding for illicit drug education

Late in 2015 the Australian Government announced its intention to provide Life Education with a significant injection of funds to redevelop and expand its upper primary school program. This will enable us to deliver education relating to illicit drugs, including ice, to students from 11 to 13 years old in school communities across Australia. We are enthusiastic about moving on this new and crucial project early this year.

Foundation to Year 2 program

The comprehensive redevelopment of our lower primary school program content is now underway. 5 brand new modules will be produced, replacing 4 of our existing ones, bringing some fresh, fun content into our program. This will allow us to better support our work with children in the first 3 years of primary school. We will provide them, and their teachers and parents, with a range of new and contemporary resources – digital and other – for use in our mobile classrooms, the school classroom and at home. These 5 modules will cover subjects such as nutrition, body systems, safety, health benefits of physical activity and relationships.

New Body System Resources

Children are immersed in a digitally sophisticated environment and to keep the magic of their Life Education experience alive, it is important to stay on the cutting edge. We will shortly be introducing into our program a range of new high-quality and visually rich teaching and learning resources. Using stunning 3D animations, these resources will allow children to explore the systems of the body (digestive, nervous, respiratory, circulatory and urinary) in the most engaging way ever seen so far. All resources will be age and context appropriate and will demonstrate realistically the effects that things such as food and drink, physical activity, medicines, smoking, caffeine and alcohol have on the body.

Redevelopment of Life Education children digital resource

To further our mission to empower children and young people to make safer and healthier choices through education, we will undertake the development of a fun, highly interactive and educational digital multiplatform for preschool and primary school children. Our goal is to continue to extend our influence beyond the limits of our school visits with creative and highly functional digital resources such as apps, games and challenges that will excite and inform the kids.

If you would like to know more about these projects, don’t hesitate to give us a call.
