Life Education New South Wales

Life Education New South Wales is a community-based, independent organisation at the front line of positive and preventative childhood health education.

In NSW approximately 300,000 students in more than 1,800 schools take part in our preschool, primary and secondary program each year.

Empowering young people to make informed decisions about their health and safety is at the heart of the program, which is driven by the popular Life Education mascot, Healthy Harold.

Our 60 specialist Educators reach children from every local government area across the state via our 44 mobile classrooms. Partnering with school, our Educators deliver 16 unique modules in the areas of drugs and alcohol, cybersafety, nutrition, lifestyle and respectful relationships.

Last year the furthest school we visited was in Broken Hill - over 1,200km away from Sydney. We supported 85 children via School of the Air. The smallest school we visited has just seven students in White Cliffs.

In 2017, 97 percent of teachers recommended their school re-book the Life Education program.

What schools are saying about us

  • Lindfield East Public School

"Interesting, relevant, informative and developmentally appropriate instruction. A dynamic instructor engaging the children well."

  • Warilla Public School

"A very worthwhile program. The school has benefited greatly from the Life Education van visits as it serves a disadvantaged area and provides an experience for the children that classroom teachers find hard to replicate for impact and involvement.”

  • Balgownie Public School

"This is a terrific educational resource. The program is motivating for the children and covers age-appropriate topics that support the syllabus."
