Life Education Victoria is Victoria's largest not-for-profit provider of health education to children. We visit over 150,000 children annually in our mobile classrooms and 710,000 nationally. We are better known for Healthy Harold and over 7 million Australians have experienced our program over the last 40 years.

The Life Education programs support children's learning and development towards a healthy lifestyle, through an engaging delivery that is play-based, experiential and interactive. Our mascot, Healthy Harold adds a sense of fun and a memory hook for the outcomes being taught.
We are seeking a casual Program Facilitator to deliver the Life Education program. Our program provides students with an engaging student centred experience that aligns to the Victorian Health and Physical Education curriculum.
The Life Education program is focused towards supporting students learning from Prep through to Grade 6 throughout Melbourne and Victoria.
This position is casual and will support our Gippsland region.
In 2020 there will be a consistent 1 day per week in a job share role plus extra work to cover leave and support the surrounding regions.
We are looking for someone who has an education or health background and interest in supporting students to develop more awareness and build skills around making health-conscious decisions that will help them deal with the tricky things they may come across in life. Our modules focus on relevant topics that students and young children are faced with on a daily basis. These consist of:
In particular, you will be an enthusiastic and engaging facilitator who is able to make the Life Education program a memorable and impactful learning experience for students and teachers in the unique mobile learning classroom. Our goal is to ensure all students experience Healthy Harold and build their knowledge and confidence to carry these skills into their life journey.
You will participate in an Extensive Field training over a 10 week period. It is expected that the successful applicant is available for training at a minimum of 3 days per week during this period of time. This will be a majority of on the job training with some online training to be completed. Training rates apply.
A satisfactory level of training must be completed within this period.
