Variety's Children's Christmas Party
|
|
The Life Education Victoria Educators, Admin staff and Healthy Harold attended the Variety Children's Christmas party held at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre on Thursday 13th December. Attended by more than 4,000 children and their carers, they enjoyed a fun filled event celebrating Christmas.
There was entertainment to suit everyone - face painting, carnival rides, interactive games, discos and quieter activities for those in wheelchairs. Harold had just the best day giving so many cuddles to the children.

Our South East Region team attended the Cranbourne Big Day Out on Sunday 28th October along with Healthy Harold.
Harold “worked” tirelessly from 9am to 4pm with our fantastic team and he was a huge hit with both children and parents.
This year we came up with the idea of putting the balloons on the wall with the names of the schools – it was a great hit. Children were excited to see their school's name up there and also remembered us visiting and wanted to know if "we remembered them".
Harold and the team handed out information packs to parents whose children's schools were not on our wall of fame.
We had one parent who had fond memories of her visits to the Life Education classroom and said she even remembered her educator's name - Connie! (ex Dandenong educator) and another young man who remembered the man with the glasses (Roy Knudsen) making them rub the carpet and magic happened. It just shows that Life Education lingers on in people’s memories, long after the visit, long after primary school days!
Thanks to all who assisted on the day. A great and happy result. |

Healthy Harold had the opportunity to go to this year's Melbourne Show, courtesy of Bupa. As usual, Harold loved meeting and greeting the show visitors and helping out on Bupa's stand. Harold was very good and kept his hand out of passing showbags!
