SKAL CHARITY GOLF DAY
 Life Education Victoria is delighted to be one of the major recipients for the inaugural Skal Charity Golf Day to be held on Friday 21st October at the Sandringham Golf Club. The golf is an "Ambrose" event that will be great fun for all non-golfers as well as golfers. Included in the day's event will be a BBQ lunch and 18 holes followed by dinner at the Royal Melbourne Golf Club and some fantastic raffle prizes and auction items. World acclaimed speaker, lecturer and author, Dr. John Tickell will be the guest speaker.
We urge you to support this excellent fundraiser if you can by attending, playing and/or with individual or corporate sponsorship. Sponsors and donors of prizes will be listed on SKAL's website and promotional flyers for the event.

Virtual Learning Environment

As part of Bendigo Bank's Community Enterprise Foundation™, the Doncaster East and Templestowe Village branch has generously donated the funds to purchase an online Learning Management System. This will be uniquely designed to facilitate training and ongoing professional development for Life Education Victoria's 26 educators, many of whom are located in disperse geographical locations throughout the State.
This new system will facilitate and monitor the learning and development of our trainees and educators via online courses, documents, videos, resources, assessment tasks, forums and chats from their home or Mobile Learning Centre. It will also promote the collaborative sharing of lesson plans, props and learning activities amongst educators.

Rotary Club of North Balwyn

Life Education Victoria's CEO, Ann Hudson, was guest speaker at the Rotary Club of North Balwyn's weekly meeting on August 4th. The Rotary Club of North Balwyn has been an active supporter of Life Education for many years.
 Ann brought their members up to date with all the latest developments at Life Education Victoria and donated two large and two small Harold soft toys. Following an impromptu auction of these lovable Harolds, a generous amount was raised that will enable us to buy extra "body" parts for Carpet Kid.
This popular and interactive programme in our Mobile Learning Centres helps the children to feel, find and locate the position of organs within the human body. |
