2011 Life Education Gala

This year's Gala, held in the Grand Ballroom of The Sebel, Albert Park was attended by over 530 guests. Following the pre-dinner drinks and opening of the Silent Auction, our MC for the evening, Doug Christie, welcomed the guests to a wonderful night of good food, great entertainment, much laughter and enjoyment.

He has many talents and as our brilliant Auctioneer, Luke Patterson obtained the best possible results with 14 fantastic auction items. These included Bali Villa and Sheraton Holidays, Vehicles, Jewellery, Wines, Sports, Advertising, Image and Photographic packages.

Our sincere thanks to all the guests, sponsors, donors, supporters, employees of LEV, staff of The Sebel and volunteers who helped to make this our most successful Gala for Life Education Victoria.

ENTERTAINMENT

The entertainment for the evening began with the delightful and engaging children from Stella Maris Primary School and a preview of LEV's new promotional video. The wealth of talent at this year's event included John Hudson, one of this country's most talented guitarists and Wendy Stapleton with her two back-up singers who perfomed songs from The Dusty Show, the Dusty Springfield Story. Peter Cupples, former lead singer and songwriter for Stylus and his band followed and, finally, Adam Thompson, the former front man for Chocolate Starfish kept the Grand Ballroom rocking until close.
