Do you remember Life Education and Healthy Harold coming to your school? Did you enjoy the program?
Or maybe Life Education and Healthy Harold has visited your children’s school?
Would you like to help deliver the Life Education program to more schools in your region, so more kids can learn about making safer and healthier choices?
You can by fundraising for Life Education!
How can I take part?
All you need to do is come up with a challenge or activity you think your friends, family and work colleagues would enjoy seeing you do and want to support. Maybe they’d even like to join you in a group challenge.
How about something like:
- Running a raffle
- Having a casual or themed day at school or work
- Hosting a dinner party
- Having a sausage sizzle
- Swimming 100 laps of the local pool
- Hosting a movie night
- Biking challenge
- Chest and leg waxing
- Abseiling or skydiving
- Holding a clothes swap
- Hosting a morning or afternoon tea
- Having a trivia night
You could also join one of the big existing community events like fun-runs or marathons and choose Life Education as your charity of choice.
How do I create my fundraising page?
Visit www.everydayhero.com.au and follow the prompts to create your account and fundraising page.
You can set it up to ask for donations to your favourite charity instead of presents for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries or special holidays like Christmas, Easter, Diwali, Eid or Hanukkah. You can also raise money in memory of someone, if you want to.
Once you have signed up, don’t forget to select Life Education and send out your fundraising page address to all your friends and colleagues so they can sponsor you. The more people you tell about your awesome challenge, the more people will jump on-board the Life Education wagon and help us help Australian children live their lives to the max.
Here’s a tip: mentioning the secret words ‘Healthy Harold’ often works because they, like you, loved the Life Education program in the mobile classroom with the Life Education educator and Harold as kids!
