Harold visits Castlemaine North Primary School
|
|
In November, Harold and the Mobile Learning Centre arrived at Castlemaine North Primary School to a raptous welcome from the students. Scott Angove, Life Education Victoria's Educator for Ballarat and surrounding region, passed on Life Education's message about the dangers of drink and drugs and, with the assistance of Harold, demonstrated how a healthy lifestyle can be fun as well as beneficial.

Life Education Victoria's Board Member George Kalandadse has been recognised as one of the Faces of Sunbury.
As part of Hume City Council's celebration of the 175 year anniversary of the founding of Sunbury, the local community was asked to nominate someone who has made a significant contribution to the Sunbury community over the past 175 years.
The aims of the Award were to promote and foster pride in, and recognition of, outstanding achievements in Sunbury, develop an appreciation of the diversity and depth of personal and community achievement of the community members within Sunbury, and to acknowledge positive role models within the community.
George Kalandadse was awarded as Community Volunteer. George is a primary school principal with 40 years teaching experience and first joined the Life Education Sunbury steering committee in 1988. He was elected chairman and remains the Chairman of the Hume Calder Life Education Committee. He joined the Board of Life Education Victoria in 2000.
