Recently, the Townsville Life Education Committee received funding for the purchase of 12 months supply of student workbooks and teacher manuals.
The Cowboys Community Fund has agreed to sponsor three junior primary modules, while the Breakwater Island Casino Community Benefit Fund has approved an application to sponsor four upper primary modules. This sponsorship provides a substantial saving for the committee, freeing up vital resources to support the delivery of drug and health education in the local community.

Following the Life Education session, student workbooks are provided to reinforce teaching and learning activities. The activities aim to raise children's awareness of health and drug issues through exploring the prior knowledge and experiences of the students.

Teacher Manuals are provided prior to the Life Education visit and suggest cross curricular activities to complete the unit of work. Teachers love this easy to use education resource, designed to assist the process of teaching children about drugs and drug related matters.
The Townsville Committee is grateful to the Cowboys Community Fund and the Breakwater Island Casino Community Benefit Fund for their generosity, and their interest in our program which is designed to promote healthy lifestyle choices for our children.
THANK YOU! |
